My work with clients is a collaboration. After learning your goals and relationship with your emotions, I develop a treatment plan that will enable you to recognize your inner resources and connect to your Self within a defined period time. We review that plan together and regularly evaluate where we are within the originally defined time frame.

In our initial sessions, I ask clients to create a genogram which is an annotated family tree, going back to at least your grandparents. This will inform us what possible intergenerational trauma might exist. (This often impedes the grieving process.) Then I have clients fill out the Adult Attachment Inventory that will indicate possible childhood injuries needing attention. This information will point us to what work might facilitate the process of grieving and healing.

For trauma, we then explore your current relationship to your younger self which will tell us whether we can begin EMDR or need to spend more time working with your parts (Internal Family Systems). EMDR is efficient and effective, resolving trauma and dissolving the negative beliefs created by those traumas.

My office is at 707 W. 34th St, Austin, TX. I can also meet virtually with anyone in Texas.

My fee is $175 for 60 minutes. A sliding scale fee may be available, depending upon prior commitments. I offer a free 30 minute consultation so you can see if I would be a good fit. The relationship between client and therapist is a key factor in therapy’s efficacy: feeling safe, seen, and heard.
